Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

  • You have extensive professional experience in the security industry and preferably already have experience in managing a team
  • Ideally, your professional experience is accompanied by appropriate qualifications Certified Protection and Security Officer or a higher education / university degree
  • You maintain an overview, assume command of situations, have backbone, and take a solution-oriented and objective approach to challenges
  • Your clients value you for your clear communication and your ability to quickly provide optimal solutions
  • You have an independent, structured, and organized style of work
  • You have a thorough command of MS Office.
  • Able to represent the Security function and deliver services with a strong focus by leading with example
  • Able to organize the time efficiently and handle multiple tasks
  • Experience in planning and organizing training for first aid, fire safety and security systems
  • Understanding of operating systems in corporate security
  • Able to respond to changes and emergencies in a safely manner
  • Must be a team player and able to work with others

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Regional Security Manager daily and in absence
  • Coordinates the report directly to the vendor company
  • Coordinates and help the client to achieve and maintain a high standard of customer service
  • Ensure that a regular check is carried out and confirm that documentation at each post is complete and maintained up to date and that staff can access all documentation when required
  • To ensure the safety and security of all site personnel, client`s property, premises, plus equipment
  • To ensure strict compliance with the Site Safety & Security procedures and any additional instructions as issued by customer or vendor management
  • To ensure the prevention of loss caused to customer through whatever cause.
  • To coordinate, monitor, assess and assist officers and reception personnel on site.
  • To respond as directed to all client requests, especially in the event of an emergency.
  • To ensure a detailed working knowledge and understanding of all summary post orders and Site Operating Procedures, including all amendments issued.
  • To respond in a swift and confident manner to all emergencies, without compromising the safety of both customer and vendor employees.
  • To ensure that both reception staff and security officers are familiar with their respective responsibilities and their issued site documentation.
  • Performs scheduled patrols checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and unauthorized persons
  • Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity, coordinates follow up investigations together with customer management; as well respond to emergencies and provides necessary assistance
  • Coordinates, monitors, and authorizes accredited vehicles and persons into the designated secure area
  • Coordinates VMS (Visitor Management system) and ensures visitors are always escorted
  • Reports and records security related incidents and maintain daily activity and incident logs
  • Provides coaching, recognition, and direction to all security staff and employees
  • Liaise with the emergency services and other local authorities to ensure a structured approach to emergency incident management
  • Ensure knowledge of the suppliers learning and development platforms, and encourage team members to enrol on courses and push for continued professional development
  • Ensure full understanding of escalation procedures for incidents at customer premises to meet obligations under the contract and/or legislation. I.e., Health & Safety at work, security licensing
  • Representing to the Physical Security Management team in cross functional meetings with both internal and extern stakeholders.
  • Assist the Physical Security Management team with event security planning and risk assessments
  • Security Coordinator must lead by example and comply with all general Post Orders and SOPs (Standard operating procedure)
  • Security Coordinator must ensure that all incidents are reported immediately that necessary actions are taken
  • To ensure that follow-up action is taken where necessary without delay and must deal with access control and Internal Investigations together with customer management
  • Proper compilation of all reports and initiate any action deemed necessary to close off said reports.
  • A thorough record of all reported incidents must be maintained.
  • To ensure that all posts are always kept clean and tidy.
  • Ensure that staff are receiving the proper level on training and ensure that trainings are fully consistent with customer policies
  • Maintain effectively support to business and management
  • Maintain relationships with security peers and vendors
