JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Safety Technician, who will be responsible for support, inspect and ensure local Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and environmental management systems in place in the Converting Factory to ensure compliance with Group OHS Policy and local legal requirement.
The position is based in Queretaro, Mexico, reporting to the OHS & ENV Manager
This position rotates 3 shifts, (from 6 am to 2 pm, from 2 pm to 10 pm and from 10 pm to 6 am), that is 6 days worked and two days off.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
Responsibilities:
As a Safety Technician you will:
- Provide support to the OHS & ENV specialist in maintaining systems of the factory conformance with the Group OHS procedures and local legislation.
- Report of accidents and incidents via Tetra Pak platforms. Collaborate along with cells supporting the investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions definition.
- Lead hazard identification and risk analysis (Job Safety Analysis) in the supporting area assigned.
- Provide OHS training to cover the significant risks of Local legal requirements.
- Promote daily site inspections addressing safety and environment issues.
- Perform and support GEMBA audits (safety inspections).
- Assist in ensuring required safety, environmental, and other certifications and documentation are completed and are update in the supported assigned area.
- Perform Emergency lead position in the shift assigned.
- Promotes timely communications, positive safety culture, and the involvement of all employees.
- Lead in Safety & Health emergency response team (FAST).
- Promote deliver trainings, emergency drills etc.
- Drive the culture change program through the Safety Dialogue process and programs.
