Ambrose Avenue Group Practice is a long-established, award-winning, forward-thinking GP practice. We are based over two surgery sites within 10 minutes of each other, serving the population of Stanway & Prettygate in Colchester, Essex. We are a training practice and offer services to a population of over 14,000 patients. We hold monthly meetings and training sessions and have a diverse team of clinicians, including first contact physio, pharmacists, ANP/NP, care coordinator, social prescriber, health coach, GP assistant and an award-winning team of mental health workers.

Responsibilities:

Ambrose Avenue Group, a friendly, innovative and progressive GP surgery based in Colchester, are currently looking for a salaried GP to join their busy practice covering 4-8 sessions per week, with a view to partnership.

Key deliverables:

  • To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for providing medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care while complying with the GMS contract.
  • To adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, and maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.

Other information:

  • SystmOne, clinical system.
  • Days run to time due to good patient access.
  • Admin supported by GPA.
  • Low visiting practice (home visits managed by our nurse practitioners).
