Description:
Our client in Guelph; Ontario Pork, is looking for a Sales Administrator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the successful candidate will be collaborative, innovative, and highly organized.
The Sales Administrator will collaborate with Ontario Pork’s specialized Sales Team and work with internal resources to support growing customer base. As part of the Sales team at Ontario Pork, the Sales Administrator will help maintain all operational aspects of member services, while fostering productivity by developing key internal and external relationships via collaboration and a passion for organizational success.
Communication and collaboration are key for this role. Regularly interacting with clients, members and internal colleagues, the Sales Administrator must maintain and stay abreast of industry trends to successfully identify and manage value-add strategies for strong member services/support.

Responsibilities
Daily Operations:
- Daily & weekly oversight of industry and contract pricing.
- Overseeing daily customer settlement processes.
- Ensure timely and meticulous member records management and data entry tasks.
- Database management and integration with internal software programs.
- Support team members as it relates to other daily tasks.
- Follow internal policies and practices to execute daily processes, and review to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Member Interaction:
- Respond to product and service questions from members.
- Evaluate member needs and ensure that they are matched with the most appropriate product or service.
- Collaborate with Director to develop solutions and strategies to proactively support member relations.
- Liaise with internal and external parties to maintain and deliver timely service to members.
- Foster strong client relationships.
- Communicate with processors, transporters, and other industry stake holders.
- Coordinate and host information meetings with members.
Requirements
- Post Secondary diploma
- Business administration experience
- Sales and customer service experience an asset.
- Self-directed, problem-solving skills, communication skills, analytical, well organized, prompt (sensitivity to deadlines), time management skills, dealing with difficult customers.
- Process oriented mindset.
- Ability to work effectively independently, as well as collaborate with an active team.
- Word Processing and spreadsheet applications, Microsoft Office, Database applications.
- Agriculture/Pork industry experience an asset.
