We are currently looking to fill a permanent full-time position for a Sales Analyst for our Sales department at our Leamington, ON location.
As a Sales Analyst, you will collaborate with the Sales and Procurement team to forecast upcoming product surpluses and shortages and develop a plan to mitigate the Supply/Demand fluctuations. This position offers a dynamic environment for individuals aspiring to progress within the Sales team and pursue higher-level management roles.

Job Specific Duties

  • Sales Planning using historical data and updated market conditions, create a baseline sales forecast for all commodities from one week to 18 months forward.
  • Actively seek opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products via pricing and promotional tactics.
  • Develop and analyze weekly/monthly sales reports to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Monitor progress towards sales targets, proactively reporting any deviations.
  • Develop sales reports, margin analysis, and key performance metrics.
  • Create customer specific sales plans to help sell through surplus product and limit promotions during market shortages.
  • Relationship building and cross-functional Support: cultivate and strengthen relationships with the Sales and Procurement teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Provide support to the Key Account Manager during their absence, demonstrating a commitment to team success.
  • Sales training and career development: actively engage in sales training programs to enhance skills and prepare for progression within the sales team.
  • Exhibit a sales-driven mindset, actively seeking opportunities for personal and team growth.
  • Additional sales-enhanced responsibilities: actively contribute to identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to implement strategies for increasing sales volumes.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to identify and capitalize on sales potential within existing accounts.
  • Emphasize the sales aspect in all assigned duties, aligning with the goal of driving revenue and achieving sales objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of Sales Analyst experience or related field.
  • Post secondary education in business, analytics or other related disciplines required.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, active listening skills and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain respectful relationships at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Proficiency in working with computers and software programs, specifically ERP, KPI Portals and Microsoft Office more specifically Excel and Nav.
  • Ability to identify issues and problem solve independently using appropriate resources internally and externally.
  • Displays strong initiative and able to work independently with little direction, within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Team player with a high level of dedication.
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines; and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment, some independent work.
  • Ability to work in a fast environment by multitasking and prioritizing work while being attentive to details and quality.
  • Must be strong with follow through as many tasks require constant follow-up.
  • Very high degree of confidentiality and integrity required regarding all aspects of the business.
  • Valid passport with the ability to travel to the U.S. or internationally as required.
  • A valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle are required as needed.

Working Conditions

  • Office setting - walking, sitting, and standing throughout the day.
  • Full time hours Monday to Friday with availability to work flexible hours including weekends and extended hours if needed.
