Position Summary
Act Three is seeking an In-office Sales and Marketing Coordinator with a proven track record in sales in the Convention, Meeting, Entertainment and Major Event Industry. Reporting to the GM and VP of Sales and Marketing, this position will proactively seek out new businesses and guests to confirm any group bookings for both venues and work at generating booking the space for conventions, meetings, consumer shows and special events. The Sales and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for researching, identifying, and targeting potential clients and marketing for Jubilations Dinner Theatre for year-round business to achieve sales goals.
Responsibilities- in this role include, but are not limited to:
- Provide expertise and excellent guest service to internal and external guests to continually hit sales targets.
- Create, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or graphics) that builds meaningful connections and encourages audiences to act.
- Collaborate with the Graphic design team to make digital and print marketing materials.
- Use CRM software to create targeted marketing and sales lists, and ensure it is updated.
- Social Media Management (Create and schedule marketing calendars)
- Build and execute Social Media strategy through research, platform, determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
- Research, identify and target potential clients for year-round business to increase facility utilization, revenues, and profitability.
- Manage the acquisition of new guests, including meeting with potential guests to promote the venues, attending industry events, and participating in industry trade and consumer shows.
- Producing event proposals and sales presentations, and basic administration
- Negotiating detailed facility contracts
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, pricing levels and general policies as they relate to our business.
- Develop and maintain affiliations with industry-related associations, industry partners and other facilities.
- Work closely with industry organizations to develop selling synergies.
- Liaise with Event Management and other internal departments to develop best business practices to increase revenues and profitability and increase levels of guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work nights and weekends occasionally if an event requires
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be proactive, enthusiastic, optimistic and have worked in a dynamic environment where they have experience delivering on multiple priorities and will hold the following qualifications:
- Provide excellent guest service and consistently demonstrate professionalism to build ongoing relationships
- Exceptional communication and time management skills with the ability to prioritize.
- Must demonstrate social awareness and communicate with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to develop, motivate and work towards a common goal and vision.
- Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Meta, Social Media Platforms, and Canva is an asset
- A working knowledge of Various CRM systems is an asset.
