Candidates with experience in leading dynamic salesforce teams within the DACH pharma sphere are likely to have the skills and experience required for the role. We are also looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as life sciences, business-related discipline; advanced degree preferred
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in a 1st line commercial/sales leadership role, within both a primary and secondary care environment
  • Experience of leading a sales force of field sales and Telesales representatives
  • Experience engaging with and aligning activities with marketing, medical affairs and market access for optimal commercial output
  • Business-driven, with excellent planning and organisational skills, financial management, operational capability and strong business acumen
  • A solid understanding of the local health care systems across the region

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As Sales and Marketing Director you will be responsible for leading the sales force across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Reporting to the General Manager DACH, you will develop and implement strategic sales plans and lead the teams of field based KAMs and Telesales representatives in engaging with HCPs to drive promotion and sales across the Pharmanovia portfolio.
The Commercial department has an ethos of continuous improvement, and this – along with the rapid growth of the business – leads to a varied and dynamic working environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Lead a team of KAMs and Telesales representatives to achieve sales and activity targets and KPIs in line with company expectations and brand strategies
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships with key executives and decision influencers/makers in all key accounts, ensuring full engagement with key customers by developing and implementing strategies that support the growth of the assigned products
  • Develop and implement key account business plans, ensuring a stakeholder map of key influencers drives targeting of business-critical HCPs, leading to optimal growth and patient access
  • Develop and implement omni-channel promotional strategies effectively and to the right customers, for KAMs and Telesales representatives to deliver brand messages to a wide range of HCPs
  • Create and manage data insights to ensure that accounts and HCPs are optimally targeted through CRM to allow effective levels of coverage and frequency, to drive regular and targeted influencing of the HCPs that have biggest impact on sales and sales growth
  • Ensure the sales team deploy ethical and compliant practices across the country and in line with national laws and requirements, and that the team complete and adhere to all of the required SOPs and training
  • Coordinate with our marketing, medical affairs and market access teams for any relevant data or insights and aligning activities for optimal commercial output
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends and regulatory changes to adapt sales strategies accordingly
  • Act as local liaison and collaborator, building consensus on strategies and tactics that drive business results
  • Implement, co-create and align national marketing strategies
