Description:

Education : BE- Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Strategy Development: Conduct thorough market research to

identify potential clients and emerging opportunities within the steel fabrication
industry. Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate new markets and expand

the company’s client base.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with

existing and prospective clients, including EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and
Construction) firms, public sector undertakings (PSUs), and companies in the steel

and power plant sectors.

  • Sales and Revenue Generation: Drive sales activities to achieve or exceed revenue

targets. This includes preparing and delivering compelling presentations, negotiating

contracts, and closing deals.

  • Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to

ensure client requirements are accurately understood and met. Oversee project

timelines and deliverables to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Proposal and Contract Management: Prepare detailed sales proposals and

quotations. Negotiate pricing and contract terms to align with both client expectations

and company profitability goals.

  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and

market dynamics to inform business development strategies and maintain a

competitive edge.

  • Reporting and Forecasting: Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline

status, and revenue forecasts to senior management. Utilize this data to inform
strategic decisions and resource allocation.

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or civil

engineering or a related field is typically required. An MBA or equivalent business

qualification is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in business development, sales, or project

management within the steel fabrication or related industries. Familiarity with

handling clients from EPCs, steel and power plants, and PSUs is highly desirable.

  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and

specifications. Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite is

advantageous.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the

ability to effectively present to and negotiate with clients at various organizational

levels.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess market

opportunities and develop strategic initiatives.

  • Project Management Skills: Experience in managing projects from initiation to

completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Travel Availability: Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients, attend

industry events, and explore new business opportunities.
