As a Lighting Application Intern, you will have the opportunity to design and propose high-value and/or high-complexity lighting projects for the North America region. Additionally, as part of the Lighting Application Specialists Team, you will have the opportunity to gain insights into the lighting business by participating in the technical aspects of projects. Collaborating with cross-functional Signify team members, you will contribute to the development of tailored solutions.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or similar technical discipline.
  • Advanced English language proficiency (written and verbal)
  • Ability to interpret architectural/electrical drawings.
  • Advanced/intermediate AutoCAD skills desirable.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Participate in customer projects through all phases from design to proposal through completion. You will be primarily involved in design applications/solutions and assist in proposal development of high-value/high-complexity projects under direct supervision.

  • Develop and design lighting for interior, site and area, exterior and roadway applications. Review/verify design, schematics, and drawings.
  • Work with calculation program like DIALUX, AutoCad
  • Develop technical expertise to support sales colleagues
  • Work with internal/external Stakeholders to support the creation of proposals and quotations.
  • Aid in the development of project-specific drawings to support commissioning and installation.
  • Routinely reviewing and updating technical documentation for the development of Proposals and/or process-improvement projects.
