Our retail outlets provide much-needed income to the hospice. This is vital to be able to provide care to the people of North Derbyshire. The hospice has 15 retail shops, a furniture warehouse, a donation centre, two clearance shops, and two coffee shops! We also have two online eBay platforms, for clothes and general goods and an online furniture store. It’s a big operation!
We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team. You’ll be the friendly face that welcomes customers. You’ll help them find hidden treasures and provide a great service. Your role is key in helping us achieve our fundraising goals, so we can continue to provide the care our patients deserve.
The main responsibilities include:
- Provide excellent customer service, creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all visitors.
- Assist with the sorting, pricing, and displaying of donated goods.
- Operate the till and handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain the shop’s appearance, ensuring it is clean, organised, and inviting.
- Support the shop manager with day-to-day operations and volunteer coordination.
- Support and promote a respectful, inclusive workplace. Uphold Ashgate’s values and behaviours in your daily work.
