We are looking for a sales assistant to work in our art gallery and design shop for the winter season 24-25. You would be working closely with out Art Gallery and Finnish design shop sales.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in retail, cashiering, or customer service is a must.
• Fluent English language skill is a must, other languages like Finnish or other are considered as a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness in a gallery/shop environment.
• Friendly, approachable, and able to communicate with customers professionally.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge or interest in art and design is preferred.
• Knowledge on hospitality industry is considered as a plus
  We hope you are enthusiastic about art and sales and you have some previous sales experience. You are easy to approach and enjoy customer service. The employment is a seasonal contract and we hope you can start as soon as possible and continue until end of March. Contract is 112,5h/3 weeks.
  The workplace is located approx. 10 km from the center of Saariselkä, and a rental apartment can be arranged through us if necessary in the Resort area. Salary is according to the agreement. Cashier Duties:

• Greet customers warmly and offer assistance with product selection.
• Process payments using a point-of-sale (POS) system, we use Mews in our resort.
• Provide accurate information on pricing, products, and current exhibitions.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing checkout area.
• Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with gallery/shop policies.
• Daily administrative tasks related to art Gallery / Design shop operations
• Stock management, buying stock for the shop

Cleaner Duties:

• Ensure the gallery/shop floor is clean and presentable at all times.
• Dust and clean art displays, product shelves, and surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as necessary.
• Empty trash bins and maintain restrooms in the gallery/ design shop.
• Help restock cleaning supplies and report maintenance issues with the housekeeping team.
• Occasionally help housekeeping team with their duties in other parts of the resort
