Sales Assistant - Premium Food Retail

We are recruiting for sales assistants to join our team in our North London shops. Sales assistants have the opportunity to engage customers with product knowledge for which you will receive training and learn on the job. We value people with drive to make things happen and curiosity to ask questions. Applicants must have at least 1 year food retail experience and references to demonstrtate sales skills, great communication, teamwork and excellent customer service.

For employees (excluding apprentices) over the age of 21 the following minimum hourly rates apply:

• Experienced Sales Assistants from £11.45

All employees also receive:

• A sales-related bonus. As an indicator, this adds an average (over the year) of £1 to the hourly rates shown
• 50% discount on your shopping for all goods including meat, cheeses, wine and beer
• Workplace Pension, equal to 3% of your gross pay
• 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year

This means that if you work a 48-hour week your average gross weekly earnings will be:

• From £597 for a Sales Assistant

We employ people of all ages and backgrounds with a knowledge of and interest in fine food, wine and service for full and part time positions. Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate great communication and sales skills, customer service and teamwork. Candidates will have relevant experience and come with excellent references.
