Sales Assistant

at  The Outdoor Adventure Store

Part-time sales assistant required for The Outdoor Adventure Store in the city centre. We are looking for a hard working person to join our team. Experience is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and works well as part of a team, as well as having the discipline to work alone as required. Someone who is passionate about the outdoors, into hiking, and other outdoor pursuits would be advantageous.
Must be available to work weekends, and usually one other day during the week.( 18/21 hours during college term, please provide available days in cover letter).
Duties include, and not limited to the following:
Providing outstanding customer service.
Maintaining and managing stock at optimal levels.
Greeting customers in the store.
Have a welcoming and friendly manner.
Good product knowledge.
Giving advice on products best suited to their needs.
Rotating and replenishing of stock.
Making sure the store remains tidy at all times.
Dealing with customer queries over the phone.
Ensuring goods are well displayed and merchandised.
The capacity to use your initiative.
