DESCRIPTION:

Sales Assistant – Building and Construction – Melbourne Suburbs

We are looking to take on an experienced Sales Assistant across construction with a strong commercial focus to hunt for new projects.

  • Excellent package dependent upon industry experience
  • Newly created role in established commercial construction company
  • Office based position on part time basis 2 days per week, with potential for increased days.

Role Overview: As a Part-Time Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our business development activities. This position is ideal for someone who is organised, a great communicator, and passionate about helping to grow our client base.
A key aspect of this role will be lead generation. You will be responsible for identifying and reaching out to potential clients, making phone calls, sending emails, and setting appointments to connect with them and maintain relationships with existing ones. Additionally, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the creation and management of our client database, helping to implement and integrate a CRM system within the business. You will work closely with and be mentored by our directors, gaining valuable insights and experience in the industry.
This position is entirely new allowing you to take charge of the sales systems and processes for the company’s intake of new projects. You will work closely and report to Managing Director.
You will be a commercially focused, self-starting team player who enjoys dealing directly with stakeholders whilst ensuring both the clients and company needs are met or exceeded. In return you will receive a competitive remuneration package together with fantastic career opportunities.
As a Salesperson you can further develop skills in networking, sourcing leads, through client-sided project managers, developers, architects, and property experts including real estate.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and generate new business leads through research and outreach.
  • Outbound Calls: Reach out to potential clients to introduce our services, follow up on leads, and schedule appointments.
  • Email Communication: Draft and send professional emails to prospects and existing clients, addressing inquiries and following up on conversations.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule meetings and calls between potential clients and our sales team.
  • Database Management: Assist in developing or managing a company database to track client interactions and appointments.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of interactions and appointments in our database.
  • Support: Provide administrative support to the sales team as needed.
  • Mentorship: Work closely with and receive guidance from one of our directors to enhance your skills and career growth.
