Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Are you a dedicated Sales & Business Development Manager with a passion for driving growth in the renewable energy sector? Then this could be the role for you!
As the Sales & Business Development Manager at The Little Green Energy Company, you will lead our sales efforts, identifying and capitalising on new market opportunities. You will be responsible for managing and motivating the sales team, developing strategic initiatives, conducting feasibility assessments for investment purposes, and negotiating contracts. Your role will also involve securing necessary permissions for solar panel installations and managing key stakeholder relationships to ensure project success.
Leveraging your commercial expertise and leadership skills, you will help drive our commercial growth and maintain our position as a leader in the renewable energy industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sales Team Management: Lead and manage the sales team, including setting sales targets, forecasting, reporting, training, budgeting, and performance management to drive success and meet company objectives.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with business goals, including market analysis, setting KPIs, and continuously optimising approaches to maximise revenue growth.
  • Business Development & Lead Generation: Identify new market opportunities, proactively generate leads, and manage the sales pipeline to maintain a steady flow of prospects and drive business growth.
  • Account & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders, securing necessary permissions for solar panel installations and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence: Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies, keeping TLGEC ahead of market shifts.
  • Contract Negotiation & Deal Closing: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients, managing the closing process to achieve sales targets and foster long-term relationships.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with marketing, design, production, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with sales efforts.
  • Product Knowledge & Training: Stay updated on solar technologies and industry trends, providing regular training to the sales team to enhance product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Performance Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Analyse sales performance data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to boost team efficiency and results.
