We’re looking for a Sales Consultant to join our team! You will thrive in this role if you have initiative, coupled with a sense of competitive drive and a focus on results despite changing conditions. Because environmental and organizational conditions change rapidly, the work involves innovation and creativity in generating ideas for quick response. Decision-making is focused on implementing practical, timely solutions. The job requires getting things done quickly and handling a variety of activities. The emphasis on building rapport and relationships with individuals and groups requires an outgoing, poised and persuasive communication style. Because the pace of the work is faster than average, the ability to learn quickly and thoroughly while continually recognizing and adapting to changing conditions is critical.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

  • Bachelor’s degree (business or engineering related preferred) or 4-6 years of applicable working experience.
  • Prior sales experience required (industrial IoT experience preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and social skills. Able to quickly connect with others
  • Abstract problem-solving ability
  • Ability to motivate yourself and manage your book of business
  • Moderate level of general computer knowledge and skills

    The target annual base compensation range for this position is $100,000-160,000, based upon relevant qualifications. This position is also eligible for commission pay.

Responsibilities:

  • Close sales and obtain orders for GrayMatter products, services, consulting, etc.
  • Focus relationship building and lead generation towards C, VP, and Director level contacts
  • Prospecting and networking to develop leads and generate pipeline for new business via cold calling, LinkedIn prospecting, etc.
  • Develop long term market penetration plan focused on deal closing and increasing share of wallet with current and new client base.
  • Coordinate all sales activities for assigned accounts
  • Consistent and timely data entry into CRM (Salesforce)
  • Continuous research and education on emerging and existing industrial IoT technology
  • Position requires independent travel to customer locations
