SALES CONSULTANT - MINING, RUSTENBURG

Company Overview:
Our client is a leading industrial chemical manufacturing firm. They have a vacancy for an experienced B2B Sales Consultant to grow the business in the industrial and mining sectors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Grade 12 or NQF equivalent. Qualification in Sales or Marketing will be advantageous.
  • 3-5 years B2B sales experience with proven ability to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans (written and spoken) and presentation skills.
  • Result-orientated attitude paired with outstanding communication and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge and Experience of technical systems and equipment for the chemical industry will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Hygiene Systems will be beneficial.
  • Mining industry background is highly advantageous.
  • Computer Literate in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid unendorsed Code 8 Driver License.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
  • Prepare, quotes, presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials.
  • Take orders and install technical equipment.
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Negotiate and implement price increases.
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up and adherence to goals.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  • Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce over-stock issues.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
  • Follow-up on collection of payment.
  • Provide training to clients on products, dilutions, applications and safe handling of products.
