To succeed in the role of Sales Coordinator, you will need the following qualities and skills:

  • Communication interpersonal skills: high standard of written and verbal English is essential with the ability to build long lasting relationships with clients and suppliers. As well as the ability to build strong relationships with leaders, peers and associates in the hotel and wider Marriott network.
  • Understanding of sales processes within luxury hospitality and key client expectations
  • Ability to create clear and persuasive presentations and reports.
  • Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks under deadlines.
  • Client-oriented approach to build positive, lasting relationships
  • Excellent time management to handle the fast-paced, multitasking nature of the role.
  • Ability to spot and address discrepancies in data or tasks promptly.
  • Adaptability in managing unexpected requests or changes with professionalism.
  • Understanding of event logistics, RSVP management, and guest itinerary coordination
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
