JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Fairfield Inn & Suites Chicago/Streeterville is seeking a Sales Coordinator to add to our strong Sales team! We are looking for those who celebrate relationships and sales. This individual needs to be willing to develop team culture, while utilizing their skills to create an environment dedicated to thoughtful and attentive service. This position will provide substantial administrative assistance to the sales managers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Use excellent organizational skills to obtain and communication all group and meeting details
2. Be the department’s communication hub, ensuring the flow of messages and information within the department and externally between departments, customers, and vendors.
3. Maintain a professional and friendly attitude while answering phones and emails in a timely matter.
4. Perform administrative duties such as emailing, typing correspondence and reports, filing, creating sales kits, completing amenity requests, mail collection/distribution, and expense reports.
5. Develop strong working relationships with sales managers, hotel department heads and colleagues in other operational areas.
6. Perform site tours of hotel when necessary.
7. Support team by streamlining and entering data in Excel.
8. Assist managers and directors with scheduling appointments, travel arrangements, and sales calls.
9. Respect guidelines of confidentiality and code of ethics in all company areas.
10. Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times.
11. Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees.
12. Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions.
13. Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area.
14. Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules.
15. Remains current with hotel information and changes.
16. Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:
1. Superior communication, organization and time management skills.
2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel. Prior experience with Delphi, Salesforce, and Fosse a plus.
3. High School or equivalent education required, bachelor’s degree preferred or related work experience
4. Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
