Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Development Manager & Operations Lead to spearhead our team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and oversee the operational aspects of our business in Cape Town. This role demands a strategic thinker with outstanding leadership capabilities, a demonstrated history in sales management, and a proven ability to nurture and expand existing operations.
The primary objective is guiding and managing a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to generate leads and build sales pipelines, ensuring the team meets its targets through effective coaching, performance management, and strategic planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up, lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Manage performance to achieve all KPIs
  • Deliver on outbound and inbound growth initiative goals
  • Lead the SDR recruiting process and make hiring decisions
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximise lead generation and pipeline growth
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and feedback to SDRs to enhance their performance and professional development
  • Partner with Business Development and Sales Operations to enhance sales outreach performance
  • Develop technology platforms to support SDR operations
  • Integrate with marketing to support outbound and inbound growth activities
  • Manage all aspects of business operations in Cape Town, including HR, IT, and local operations
  • Establish and maintain efficient processes and workflows to streamline operations and ensure optimal productivity
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all operational issues and liaise with relevant stakeholders to resolve promptly
  • Always represent Databarracks with honesty, integrity and in the best interests of the company
  • Comply with all Databarracks policies and processes relating to information security and quality management
  • Protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all Databarracks’ information assets, as well as those of our clients, staff, and suppliers
  • Strive to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Carry out duties in line with any compliance or certification standards of the business
