  • Commercial experience within the Aggregate and Waste market.
  • Self-starter with business development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

To identify opportunities in the market for fixed asset supply of primary aggregates, recycled aggregates, secondary aggregates and muck away plus developing relationships with existing customer base for additional volume and continued supply. Pursuing operational solutions for the customer and developing commercial strategies to achieve the budgeted volumes and profitability.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is to support the project manager with all the following requirements, including:

  • Regular customer site and office visits.
  • Developing new business relationships, generating and negotiating new income to agreed annual targets.
  • Prospecting for new opportunities with existing and prospective customers specifically around our fixed assets.
  • Management of internal systems for customer quoting, account management and query management.
  • To identify and communicate with the Divisional Directors specific opportunities and projects available across the group.
  • Develop business and commercials plans with CD for new assets.
  • Work closely with fixed asset transport team for full utilization of own fleet.
  • Setting of business development strategy in conjunction with senior team. Streamlining of customer base and target markets.
  • Develop and present an understanding of sustainability to recognize value in our fixed assets.
  • Key account management.
  • Anticipate customer changes and continuously look to drive operational and commercial efficiencies.
  • Management of customer feedback.
  • Responsible of delivery against the area budget in line with agreed targets and KPI’s.
  • Reporting and presenting commercial plans to the divisional leaders. Participating in commercial and strategy team meetings. including a pipeline of work and 3 Month forecasts.
