Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Sales Director – Europe is the sales leader for the European region. The Sales Director – Europe is required to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets to grow market share and maintain outstanding end user and distributor relationships – to support Industrial Scientific’s Vision of eliminating death in the workplace by 2050.
The Sales Director, Europe is responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle at the end user and distributor in all European countries. As the sales leader for Europe, the Sales Director will coach and manage the sales team to meet and exceed Company sales targets, using the Fortive Business System (FBS) to drive results.
The Sales Director – Europe will serve as a member of the EMEA Leadership team and work closely with the GM, EMEA to support company strategic direction and initiatives. The position will be based in mainland Europe.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellence in value-selling technical solutions to solve customer problems
  • Proven ability to identify, position, develop, lead and train a talented team focused on customer expansion, customer retention and flawless execution of sales
  • MBA degree or equivalent preferred
  • 15+ years full-time work experience
  • 10+ years leadership experience in Europe selling hardware, software and services
  • Fluent in English and preferably at least two additional European languages (e.g. French, German)
  • Results driven and highly ethical
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts for the sales team and key channel partners, in support of EMEA strategy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, key distribution leaders and business partners relevant to the Industrial Scientific business
  • Evaluate performance to objectives and work with the sales team to ensure effective countermeasures are in place to meet sales targets
  • Develop and manage KPIs, sales funnels, sales forecasting tools and other reports as necessary to effectively manage performance to monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Define roles and responsibilities, set performance and development goals, motivate/ coach the sales team and implement training strategies and sales plans that support team execution
  • Give feedback to all team members on a regular basis, and develop talent within the team to ensure effective succession planning and career development
  • Implement a culture and business practices based on the Fortive Business System and high employee engagement, which includes kaizen calendar, FBS Champion Program, operating review, funnel management, and Policy Deployment efforts
  • Co-ordinate and lead programs to drive new product and service launches to success and broad market penetration
