Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate accelerated year on year growth for the range of UPS and associated hardware products.
  • Establish deep and trusted customer relationships through a combination of a demonstrable technical ability and proven experience in translating the customers’ requirements into an optimum UPS system design that maximizes the technical specification of the Kohler UPS which in turn creates potential for industry leading margins.
  • In conjunction with Marketing develop and implement a strategy to target new market sectors and relevant consultants, specifiers and end users, where the technical features and the industry leading service support provided by KUP Ireland are aligned with the sector requirements.
  • Leverage the ABB relationship to generate additional opportunities created by a combination of the ABB technical superiority with the customer service excellence provided by KUP Ireland.
  • Demonstrate a continuous passion for the development of the sales team made possible by a commitment to coaching, mentoring and training in a structured manner.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To own the achievement of KUP Ireland’s UPS annual hardware order target.Create and implement a strategic regional sales plan for Ireland ensuring there are coordinated objectives and priorities in place to maximise sales opportunities in Ireland.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the technical and commercial benefits of the KUP UPS range, enabling you to become a trusted advisor to potential customers in Ireland.
  • Establish deep relationships with KUP Ireland Key Customers, (End Users, Consultants, Specifiers and Contractors) ensuring detailed key account plans are in place, focused on the long-term retention of these customers by:
  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements and delivering customer quotations to understand, anticipate and exceed their needs for UPS;Persuading customers that UPS & service will best satisfy their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery.
  • Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions that meet both customer and company needs.
  • Representing the UPS product/service to customers through the development and delivery of technical presentations, product demonstrations and training; and at field events such as seminars, conferences, exhibitions etc:Responds to functional and technical elements of customer enquiries, RFIs/RFPs, ITTs etc.
  • Passionately lead the Business Development activities of the company to continually grow our customer base (consultants, specifiers, end users etc.) in the key sectors identified by marketing.
  • In conjunction with the General Manager, proactively seek opportunities to leverage the relationship with ABB with the objective to significantly increase market share.Maximise the commercial opportunities generated from UPS Academies, CPD’s, Events and other business development activities.
  • Actively drives the UPS sales funnel, working autonomously to identify and maximize opportunities.
  • Maintain a rolling 3 monthly forecast pipeline of opportunities based on knowledge of market potentials, sales trends, competitors, economic conditions etc;
  • Acts as the ‘Voice of the Customer’ for UPS business within the company; conveying customer requirements and needs internally to UPS Operation, Service, Finance,
  • Hardware/Service Sales teams and with external suppliers; and works closely with these teams/suppliers to deliver solutions to exceed customers’ needs and requirementsIn conjunction with the local Technical Manager and other colleagues throughout the group, provide insights on the suitability of new products that may be considered for the Irish market.
  • Manage, support, train and mentor all members of the commercial team ensuring that the level of technical and commercial support is of a high standard which generally exceeds customer expectations.
  • Complete individual performance appraisals for the commercial team members in line with the guidelines established by HR.
