The approximate salary range is based on skills & experience $94,965.00-$105,000.00 per year with incentive opportunity.
Position Overview
Encore’s Specialty Services group designs, installs, and operates event technology infrastructure (Audio Visual, Digital Signage, Rigging, Power Distribution and Internet connectivity) in venues like hotels and convention centers. The Sales Engineers provide the bridge between the Venue Contract Sales team and the Specialty Services technical teams by providing full sales cycle support. This position will create and follow up on direct sales leads, develop custom solutions, provide expert advice to customers, position services individually or as a combined solution, and follow through to operational delivery.
Key Job Responsibilities

Sales Support

  • Support Venue Contract Sales team as they identify opportunities by providing clear and persuasive technical sales knowledge, proposals, presentations, financial models, and agreement language. Present options confidently in-person and remotely.
  • Work directly with customers, marshalling the technical team and other supporting department resources available, to provide responsive technical solutions to customer needs, iterating as the project develops and overcoming objections.
  • Where appropriate (e.g., Venue Contract Sales team delegates), own the sales opportunity from start to finish.
  • Attend industry events which drive awareness of the solutions and create relationships with key contacts at the venue, brand, ownership, management, and developer level.

Sales Management

  • Maintain accurate records of activity in CRM systems and keep in regular contact with Venue Contract Sales team to ensure high quality information sharing.
  • Act as the key Encore contact for strategic relationships as assigned. Remain engaged throughout the implementation of projects.

Technical Solution Development

  • Using prior experience, customer feedback and future facing ideation, contribute to the development of new and improved offerings.
  • Develop new tools, materials, and resources designed to provide sales support for the offerings.
  • Assist in the identification of new markets and other business development opportunities for Specialty Services offerings.

Sales Training

  • Provide technical details and unique selling features about Encore product offerings in comparison to the competition, helping to grow the knowledge of other Encore team members.

Job Qualifications

  • BA degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5+ years in technical sales in one or more related fields (Rigging, Power, Internet, AV Systems, Digital Signage)
  • Financial modeling and business forecasting experience
  • A strong background in developing technical solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage and organize time and projects successfully
  • Proficient in the use of CRM systems for opportunity lifecycle management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
