GEA is looking for a dedicated and proactive Sales Engineer to manage and grow our Liquid Process Technologies business in the French-speaking region of Belgium. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both nurturing existing customer relationships and exploring new business opportunities.
Your responsibilities and tasks:
As Sales Engineer you will spend 50% of your time focused on account management, selling our services, components, and projects to our current customers. The other 50% will be dedicated to identifying and developing new opportunities in sectors such as Beverage, Dairy, Food, and Home & Personal Care.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Maintain and enhance relationships with existing customers in the French-speaking part of Belgium, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities to sell additional services, components, and projects.
  • New Business Development:

Actively prospect and develop new business opportunities in the region, targeting customers in the Beverage, Dairy, Food, and Home & Personal Care industries.

  • Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in engineering and service teams to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Field Presence: Regularly visit customers and attend industry events to build strong relationships and stay updated on market trends.

Your profile and qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a strong technical affinity or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in sales or account management, ideally within the liquid and fermentation technologies or a related sector.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Strong account management abilities with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to open new business doors.
  • Hands-on mentality with a willingness to work closely with engineering and service teams.
  • Fluency in French and English is required; Dutch is a plus.
  • Mindset: A customer-focused approach, combined with a drive to develop new business opportunities.
