We understand the need to provide a flexible working environment partnered with team collaboration and socialisation. Therefore, we operate a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week. This role is based in the UK office (London, Birmingham, Newcastle or Sleaford).
The mission for the Pre-Sales Consultant/Sales Engineer is to persuade prospects and clients that MRI solutions will meet their business requirements. The Sales Engineering team at MRI are product experts who support Account Executives and Managers as a strategic resource in deal cycles to help secure and grow Annual Recurring Revenue.
Position Overview:
The Sales Engineer will collaborate closely with the EMEA Sales Team to deliver presentations, offer application support, and fulfill the technical requirements necessary for expanding existing relationships and acquiring new clients. This role focuses on providing sales demonstration support tailored to EMEA-specific business needs, contributing to sales strategy, demonstrating technical presentation proficiency, and showcasing product expertise.
Sales Engineers also collaborate and work closely with other teams such as Marketing, Product Management and Professional Services, in support of successful customer implementations, product decisions and innovation, and the achievement of company growth goals.
The ideal candidate excels in presentations, thrives under pressure, meets deadlines proactively, and contributes effectively to a demanding, collaborative team environment. This position is pivotal in driving software license and long-term application support revenue for MRI Software, particularly for the Qube PM, Horizon Investor and MCI solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical resource for the MRI sales team from qualification to successful close of the sale.
- Be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to assigned deals, prospective clients, and existing customers.
- Deliver customer-centric value-based presentations and solution demonstrations.
- Learn the MRI solution set – initially the Qube PM solution but working towards a full understanding of all relevant MRI and partner solutions.
- Develop the capability to demonstrate the value of MRI solutions to prospects and clients at a high level within 45 business days.
- Add value to the team through optimization or improvement of our team discussions or content in your area of expertise.
- Develop, design, validate, and assist in positioning MRI software capabilities to include advanced product concepts and 3rd party complimentary interfaces.
- Able to deliver proof of concept that can be used to establish viability, address technical issues, demonstrate alignment with discovered client needs, and advance the sales process.
- Evoke prospect and client confidence while positioning MRI offerings and architecture in the best possible light.
- Present both the functional capabilities and business value of MRI software applications including demonstrating deep familiarity with MRI direction, product roadmap and industry presence.
- Respond effectively to Tenders alongside the Sales and Bid teams.
- Contribute directly to attaining or exceeding quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Strong presentation, written and verbal skills. Ability to demonstrate MRI solutions in their best light to clients and prospects.
- Ability to “think on your feet” responding to client / prospect requests and questions during demonstrations.
- Clear and articulate presentation of value proposition and benefits of the solution to the client / prospect at multiple levels within the organisation (end-user, project sponsor, and C-suite executives).
- Assist with multiple opportunities at any given time and demonstrate flexibility to respond to changing priorities.
- Demonstrate MRI solutions in line with client / prospect business processes to show why our solutions are the best fit for the organisation.
- A degree or comparable professional experience in Property Management, Leasing, or Accounting.
- Fundamental understanding of processes in key property verticals, i.e. commercial, residential build to rent and block management, as well as both company and client accounting.
- 3+ years of hands-on use of Qube PM, or with a software solution vendor similar to MRI, preferably in the PropTech arena.
- Strong understanding of financial structure and report creation within the Qube PM or similar platform
- Thorough understanding of systems, application design and integration methods.
- Ability to engage with and influence C-level decision-makers effectively.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills for improving business processes and resolving complex technical issues.
- Willingness to work independently with minimal direction as part of a team to address technical and business challenges.
- Ability to travel as required, with some travel potentially being international and occasionally on short notice.
