Responsibilities:
WHAT IS THE ROLE?
Based in Wellington, reporting to the National Sales Manager – Power Products & Solutions you will play a pivotal role in supporting business growth and profitability. As a Sales Engineer you are a Technical Sales Representative, and your primary function will be to sell and promote all Schneider Electric products, services and solutions throughout the designated sales territory. Your focus will be our industrial product ranges and solutions targeting business to business sales with Consultants, Switchboard Builders, OEM’s, Industrial End Users and Contractors being the main channels you will be dealing with.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Specialise in Low Voltage Switchgear, Power Quality, Energy Management and Motor Control Equipment sales for the region;
- Maintain and grow sales for our existing Customer base and actively develop new accounts to ensure continual growth of the company;
- Report and provide general market feedback on customer and competitor activity;
- Develop and execute a Customer call plan for the territory.
- Directly assess customer needs to identify and recommend appropriate Schneider products and services in the designated sales territory;
- Develop and present technical solutions to Customers;
- Negotiate Customer project contracts and commercial terms;
- Support contract deliverables in the region;
- Record all activities and opportunities and maintain Customer information in the CRM tool;
- Ensure positive Customer experience with solutions provided and offer support for any dispute resolution;
- Provide monthly sales reports to the National Sales Manager;
- Follow up promptly on sales leads generated by marketing activity;
- Provide details of projects in designated sales territory;
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
