Description:
Do you want to be an employee owner? We are looking for a Sales Engineer - Power Solutions to help our company grow. This talented person will be responsible to develop, coordinate, and execute strategies to capture new power business working with various departments within CPI. Identifies and helps to develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers. Assists in the development of a strong pipeline of new customers and projects in accounts through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting. Strong knowledge of various channels key to power product sales success and how they relate to the current channel and distribution landscape at CPI. Coordinates activities with Area Vice Presidents, Regional Field Sales personnel, and manufacturer sales representatives in the achievement of company-wide goals and objectives. Develops and implements company wide sales strategies towards improvement of product line penetration (Power Products) with long and short-term profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with Area Vice Presidents, Corporate Channel Managers, Regional Field Sales, and Sales Engineer personnel to ensure maximum market penetration and accomplishment of short and long-range objectives.
- Devises and assists others in formulation of sales strategies, forecasts, budgets, and global sales plan. Provides recommendations and advice on overall sales strategy, support programs and other marketing and sales activities related to customer accounts and new business opportunities specific to the Power/Electrical product line.
- Manages the long and short-term profitable penetration of product in Power/Electrical product line.
- Maintains strategic intelligence regarding product market growth, market trends, and technology research.
- Must know and understand the Power/Electrical product sector and industry and clearly and concisely communicate the essential information within the CPI organization.
- Is responsible for the achievement of sales strategy for product sector and develops a business plan and directs the execution of the plan with the committed support of the corporation.
- Orchestrates the development of productive relationships between CPI and the customer’s management teams.
- Ability to demonstrate web interface and software products to customers.
- Primary contact and vehicle of escalation for handling general business issues for the Power Product Group and/or new business development opportunities.
- Establishes the service and quality needs of the customer and drives CPI’s performance such that CPI is primary supplier of choice.
- Works with CPI’s Product Management, Technical Service and Customer Service organizations to maximize value stream.
- Gives clear, meaningful, and rationalized needs and goals to the Product Management and Marketing groups.
- Anticipates changes in customer behavior, competition, or the company’s ability to execute and develops alternative plans to maximize potential or minimize loss.
- Full and participating partner with all internal departments in setting and insuring execution of objectives consistent with the account business plan.
- Maintains rapport and relationships with targeted senior level corporate and other strategic customer personnel to assure proper communication, up-to-date information, and CPI vendor of choice status.
- Seeks opportunities for new product development.
- Participate in appropriate professional organizations to enhance CPI’s market presence. Conducts presentation on products and services to potential accounts.
- Manages special projects as assigned by CPI management.
