Renishaw Spa is the Italian subsidiary that markets and supports all Renishaw products in Italy and abroad: following a growth of operations of the group in the AM sector, we are looking for a new teammate to join us as an Additive Manufacturing Sales Engineer, based in Italy.
The role
The role is aimed at growing the market for Renishaw AM, interacting closely with prospects, customers, and partners in the full sales cycle, from market research to sales of equipment, service and upgrades. A significant part of the job will be working with potential customers to help incorporating AM in their manufacturing processes. This opportunity suits someone with motivation and drive to develop a growing market, these personal traits are required in a B2B sales process with a relatively long pre-sales cycle. Tenacity and perseverance are also key to support customers in the adoption of our advanced equipment.
Main responsibilities
- Drive users and prospects towards adopting Renishaw AM technology
- Develop destination markets by scouting for applications and developing relationships
- Identifying and developing strategies for long term key projects to achieve sales and growth targets
- Provide and discuss quotations and cost estimates
- Participating in exhibitions and trade events
- Maintaining CRM to a level which supports accurate and reliable forecasting and pipeline management
- Ensure appropriate and regular own product training is maintained
Key requirements
- University or high school degree, mains in a technical subject or economics
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial experience of direct sales of capital equipment
- Customer-oriented attitude
- Fluent Italian and English (spoken and written)
- Frequent travel in Italy and occasionally abroad is expected
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- IT literacy
- Category B driving license

The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively with teams and will possess excellent collaboration skills; results-oriented, self-motivated and well organized; methodical and systematic approach to problem solving, even under stress.
Flexible and open-minded and used to work in changing environments with the ability to maintain a good and a collaborative work environment.
