REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably engineering degree) or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of sales experience with an OEM or large Tier customer
  • Fastening Application Development (support as components supplier) at an Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier
  • Strong customer relationship focus
  • Experience in Engineering Design for fastening preferred
  • English Proficiency - verbal and written
  • Availability to travel up to 70%

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a member of the Stanley Engineered Fastening Team, the Sales Engineer will lead application and business development at assigned customers (primarily to automotive tiers and OEM’s) in the Bajio Region. This position will be based in Queretaro.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Application Development for customer and be the main technical lead on sales calls.
  • As Business Development lead, develop new business pursuit strategy through market intel.
  • Own customer specifications & establish clear requirements of the part/application at the beginning through end of life of projects.
  • Work with customers to identify and develop performance criteria and products for applications.
  • Create the SFDC build to print (B2P), prototype/testing (3DProto) or Engineering Project (EngProj) Solutions. Drive to completion by working with the product development engineer on developing a concept that meets the customers’ requirements within 5 days and submitting the design(s) to the customer for approval.
  • Launch/pre-production build support of new B2P or EngProj parts after receipt of order. Drive the part release through the system (KO) and support project timing from: Receipt of order, KO, data/drawing release, APQP, part validation, PPAP through end of life.
  • Verify that the final revision/release of a part is designed to meet the customers’ requirements and obtain customer approval of concepts.
  • Understand customer pain points and protect and improve existing business
  • Support customer build events, technology shows and meetings
  • Co-Drive Quoting - Price & DSM Approval - provide customer/competitive insights
  • Where applicable, coordinate NBD activity with counterparts in other regions to secure business.
  • Other duties as needed
  • Schedule visits on regular basis to existing assigned customers and prospects
