We are seeking a highly organised, creative, and dynamic Sales Estimator to join our GJK Bids Team preferably based in Victoria but could consider Sydney.
Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Solutions the primary objective of this role is the delivery of innovative and timely solutions and pricing for bids and tenders.
In this high-performance environment, you will achieve success by consulting with stakeholders on a regular basis while tenaciously driving performance delivery and working to firm deadlines. You will be a keen adopter of systems and processes, whilst always providing suggestions for improvement.
As you will be in constant contact with senior executives and external representatives, you will display professional presentation and communication abilities.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Estimator or similar role in the cleaning or related industry.
  • Understand the Cleaning Modern Award and have the ability to interpret and convert EBA’s into pricing models.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret client Scope Documents
  • View and interpret client building maps, SQM and cleaning needs into a priced document.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Time management – ability to work to solid deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits.
  • An ability to work effectively in teams, and independently, often virtually

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Estimator to join our team.
The Sales Estimator will play a critical role in growing our business by accurately assessing cleaning projects and providing clients with competitive and fair estimates. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the cleaning industry.

DUTIES:

  • Conduct site visits to evaluate the scope of cleaning projects.
  • Accurately measure and assess areas to be cleaned.
  • Design optimal delivery solution options for the preparation of detailed and competitive cost estimates for potential or existing clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop proposals and bids.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and pricing trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Develop proforma documents for presentation to the Bid Governance Team for approval
  • Maintain and uphold bid timelines and assist with the timely lodgement of bids
