Ferring+You
You will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth and increase market share. Analyzing sales data, identifying opportunities for improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams, franchises and countries across geographies to align on sales strategies and objectives. The job holder ensures that the required business information is available (sales, competitors, market and sales force activity) and suggests adjustments to commercial activities in order to achieve objectives. This role also includes the definition of KPIs, incentive plan guidelines as well as coaching and training the sales teams to enhance their performance.

Your day at Ferring

  • Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives and sales plans to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
  • Ensure the customer profiles (segmentation, journey, messaging) are aligned with the sales force tactics and outputs can be measured accordingly.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement or for quick wins. Work closely with global teams (analytics, marketing excellence, customer engagement) as well as with the cross-functional teams in franchises and countries to develop, align, roll-out and train sales force effectiveness initiatives.
  • Tailor sales force effectiveness initiatives to different regions and market archetypes. At the same time ensure consistency across countries in the approach.
  • Collect existing best practices and share those across regions and franchises.
  • Co-develop sales force effectiveness KPI’s and dashboards by processing and analyzing CRM data. Be the go-to person when it comes to knowhow about existing data in the CRM and accurate sales reports.
  • Tracking of competitors and market sales data verifying their reliability and drawing up the necessary aggregate analyses (market, area, products,..) in compliance with the specifications agreed with the different Business Units. If necessary, ensure that CRM systems are adapted to cater for must-have data (e.g. CRM system that provides necessary tools for planning and information on sales force activity)
  • Create and implement processes to measure the effectiveness of sales initiatives.
  • Coordinate sales incentive plans and bonus achievement by commercial staffs according to the bonus scheme approved; participate actively in sales schemes’ definitions as required
  • Seek and establish relationships with providers of primary and secondary data sources and consulting services and marketing research agencies

  • Business Degree (Marketing, Engineering or Sciences), MBA Preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical / healthcare markets. Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical industry, products, markets, therapeutic areas and regulatory governance.
  • Previous experience in Sales, country organization or start-up is a strong plus.
  • Proven track record in designing, developing and implementing companywide sales/revenue effectiveness programs including definition of KPIs and dashboards.
  • Technical skills such as understanding of CRM systems, its capabilities and limitations on a global, regional and local level.
  • Proficient in analyzing sales data, trends and performance metrics
  • Strong leadership skills to navigate within a complex cross-functional matrix organization
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, while ensuring that deadlines are met, and resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Experience in strategy development and strategy implementation. Sound understanding of day-to-day sales business is an absolute must.
  • Flexibility and adaptability are needed to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem solving skills, overall business and financial acumen.
