Description:

We are looking for a talented Inside Sales Representative (ISR) that thrives in a team selling environment by supporting our external sales team and market specific sales managers. The projects range from smaller quick transactions to large dollar long term projects. The ISR will manage internal processes to allow the sales team more direct selling time with customers.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Proven inside sales and marketing experience, ideally in the food industry.
  • Understand KPM Analytics customers, integrators and end users.
  • Strong phone presence and experience.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com.
  • Experience with extracting data from databases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quotes for the sales team based on established sales prices and discussions with internal resources for customized or unique options. Internal staff can be located in different offices including France and Italy.
  • Manage samples, including RMA numbers, being submitted by customers including working with internal staff to run samples and or run the samples directly within the demo lab.
  • Work with the sales team in the management of demo and trial equipment including RMAs to track shipments.
  • Leads are automatically routed to the sales team but the ISR will route those that have missing information to the appropriate salesperson by region/technology and market specific managers (Wet Chemistry and Industrial. If unsure where to send the lead, clarification can be provided by the Sales Director.
  • Cold Lead follow up campaigns for important contacts that have not responded to the sales team. Utilizing a structured campaign process, follow up on cold leads that are deemed important.
  • Industry contact list creation in cooperation with marketing. Create lists for targeted markets from multiple resources including Linked In, Salesforce and other databases as a basis of a sales campaign. The campaign can vary with marketing sending out emails with a targeted message followed up with the list to the sales team to make contact.
  • Help the sales team on order entry.
  • Be a first-to-call for the sales team to foster internal communication with service, marketing, application specialists and business development managers.
  • Work with the sales team in different regions to research potential new customers and provide data as requested. Enter the data into Salesforce.
  • Become a backup to applications specialist to run samples, prepare customer videos or participate in an on-line demos with the systems in the demo room. This will require the inside sales representative to become proficient on all the systems in the demo room.
  • Train new sales team on the quoting process that they can do themselves and what sales support can do for them.
  • Assist sales team, accounting and customer with new customer packet, as needed.
  • Provides technical bulletins to customers after pre-qualifying application or process.
  • Learn about the customers’ business, our competitors’ actions, and the food/agricultural industry.
  • Other functions as required.
