PREFERRED SKILLS

  • 5+ years of relevant sales quota carrying experience in a SAAS or Consulting organisation
  • Track record of prospecting and closing business in a completely new territory
  • Proven success in growing and working within the North American market, especially with Mid-market companies (100-2000 employees)
  • Clear communicator and consultative seller with the ability to listen and ask probing questions to uncover customer needs
  • Experience building partnerships in a new market
  • Excited to establish a sales function and build things from scratch thinking about the overall customer experience and go-to-market strategy
  • Love to deep-dive into new domains to become a subject matter expert
  • Have sold a complex or technical product before
  • Passion to empower businesses to address climate change

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Toronto-based sales lead to bring Carbonhound to more businesses. As a core member of our commercial team, you will be directly shaping the go-to-market strategy alongside the founders as well as the growth and customer success teams. You will continue to build the sales playbook and shape the product roadmap to help us meet our revenue goals and drive decarbonisation across North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Owning the full sales cycle to get new logos onto the Carbonhound platform and drive revenue growth
  • Work alongside the growth team to identify key accounts and build pipeline in key industries (Financial services, Food Manufacturing, Metals manufacturing)
  • Build the Carbonhound sales playbook to win new lighthouse logos in the region (i.e. workshopping personae messaging, multi-threading etc) to create a repeatable sales action
  • Bring customer insights from the sales and marketing processes to inform the product roadmap and ensure we are building valuable features that help unlock growth
  • Collaborate across Marketing, Growth, Customer Success and Product to ensure a consistent customer experience that creates positive customer outcomes
  • Become an expert in climate and educate companies on how they can navigate towards a sustainable and profitable future
  • Build the foundations of the sales team to scale post fund-raise
