Description:
We are currently seeking a Sales & Leasing Consultant to provide exceptional customer service while promoting and selling our full range of vehicles.
As a key member of the Westgate Honda team, the Sales & Leasing Consultant brings to life the Honda Driving Excellence Experience. This position reports to the Sales Manager and is responsible for managing all aspects of the New and Used Car Sales process from the point the customer walks into the dealership to the point of sale and beyond. They will be passionate about building an ongoing relationship with the customer with the objective to create Brand loyalty and focused on achieving sales targets.
The Sales & Leasing Consultant is an expert listener and is a master at executing each process within the Sales cycle. They are results-oriented and have an eagle eye for “the details”. They continually work at becoming a Product Knowledge expert and strive to provide each customer with a personalized retail experience.
As a team player, the Sales & Leasing Consultant strives to develop collaborative relationships throughout the dealership.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Grade 12 High School or equivalent.
- Provincially licensed as recognized by the MVDA (OMVIC, AMVIC, etc.)
- College certificate or additional courses would be an asset.
- Experience in automotive sales would be an asset.
- Holds a valid driver’s license.
- Able to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome customers in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner.
- Listen to the customer’s needs and take action, assisting them in understanding the offering and then selecting an appropriate vehicle.
- Create a customer base through effective contact methods that make sense for the customer.
- Make prospecting calls and follow up with the customer within specific timeframes.
- Document the customer needs and expectations throughout the sales visit. Keep detailed records of all interactions with customers.
- Handle all customer queries and concerns with a genuine intent to solve their problem.
- Prepare for the delivery of new vehicle. Ensure all details of the delivery and all documentation/paperwork are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Review and analyze actions regularly to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
- Be knowledgeable and able to clearly explain technical features, options and their benefits, specials and updates.
- Develop and maintain full knowledge about the Industry.
- Keep up to date with products, accessories, prices and key features of major competitors.
