Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Position Overview:
The Sales Manager at Herbaland leads the sales team, setting targets and developing strategies to drive revenue and market share growth. They collaborate with business development to identify opportunities, build client relationships, and oversee market expansion. The role involves monitoring sales performance, negotiating contracts, and ensuring alignment with company goals. Close coordination with marketing, product development, and finance teams is essential, along with tracking industry trends, optimizing sales processes, and providing regular performance reports to senior management.

Please find the key responsibilities of this position is as follows:

  • Manage and mentor the sales team, setting clear performance targets and developing strategies to achieve sales goals. Provide guidance and support to ensure team success.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive sales strategies to increase revenue and market share. Regularly assess market trends and adjust tactics as needed.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to identify new growth opportunities, such as partnerships and new market segments. Assist in expanding into new markets and fostering relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, acting as the primary contact for high-value accounts. Ensure client needs are met, and expectations are exceeded.
  • Oversee market expansion efforts by analyzing market potential, identifying new customers, and creating tailored approaches to penetrate new markets.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance using data-driven insights to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and refine strategies. Ensure that sales targets are met and exceeded.
  • Lead contract negotiations with key clients to secure profitable agreements. Ensure all contracts align with company objectives and profitability standards.
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and finance teams to ensure that sales initiatives are aligned with overall company goals and that customer feedback is effectively communicated.
  • Track competitor activity and industry trends to provide insights and recommendations for differentiating Herbaland’s offerings and staying ahead in the market.
  • Assess and optimize sales processes, workflows, and tools to enhance efficiency and productivity. Implement best practices and ensure consistency across all sales operations.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on sales performance for senior management, providing actionable insights based on metrics and market analysis.

An ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably within the health, wellness, or consumer goods industries.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and motivating a high-performing sales team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to close large deals and manage complex contracts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, particularly in business development, marketing, and product management.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for identifying growth opportunities and improving processes.
  • A results-driven mindset with a passion for exceeding sales targets and contributing to overall business success.
