QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in the Waste Recycling (WR) industry, on sensor-based sorting technology or on the operation of MR recycling sorting plants
  • Experience in selling large capital equipment, as selling long project sales cycle and experience with sales of technical equipment.
  • Experience in working in an international environment with a diverse range of cultures.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written (presentations, emails) and oral. Able to express him/herself clearly and interact positively with customers and colleagues. Other languages including Arabic and/or French are not essential but desirable.
  • A proven track record of successful contract negotiation, excellent listening and communication skills and should follow an analytical approach.
  • Willing to travel both locally and internationally up to 50% of the time
  • Excellent self-organizational skills and ability to work and perform in stressful situations
  • Proficient in using the Office suite, especially Power point and Excel.

TOMRA’s sensor-based solutions play a key role in optimizing resource productivity, particularly in the fields of waste management and recycling, where sensor-based technology can be used to increase precision and streamline processes.
To achieve the ambitious aim of a circular economy, it is necessary to employ state-of-the-art approaches that push boundaries, and TOMRA’s reverse vending and waste sorting solutions help to achieve this by recovering materials and providing valuable insight into the composition of these materials.
The result is a greater understanding of where efficiencies can be made to minimize costs and waste, and better utilize resources within a closed loop – further mitigating the impact of CO2 and other emissions and inefficiencies.
Job Description
Role and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking responsibility for implementing a systematic sales strategy for the region.
  • Planning and executing sales activities in the region.
  • Participates in exhibitions and conferences.
  • Support sales targets by providing key information about applications, competitors, prices and tactics in order to win projects
  • Scout for leads and generate opportunities in the assigned area as necessary.
  • Create relevant offers and negotiate with customers
  • Develop market further with new contacts and build relationships
  • Responsible for an assigned annual BUDGET related to the territory responsibility
  • Able to report an accurate Forecast into CRM and give long term visibility to the company for implementing the right strategy
  • Manage the Area Sales Manager who is based in Johansburg and report to the VP Sales Emerging Markets on the status of planned and on-going activities, customer projects, trials, market developments and trends, etc.
