KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • 5+ years experience in Sales or new business development.
  • Experience in the research and investigation of people and businesses to help increase sales potential.
  • Can demonstrate strong presentation skills when analysing and offering conclusions about research and data.
  • Ability to identify and prioritise market potential then devise strategic plans to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets.
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented in meeting your own deadlines with little to no supervision
  • Excellent communication skills across all channels, including the old-fashioned phone calls!
  • Strong client facing skills with the ability to network and engage with all stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, to work collaboratively with team members across different divisions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The main purpose of this role is to bring new business opportunities into mkodo. The core purpose of this role is to deliver a continuous sales new business pipeline, both with web and mobile app opportunities and product-based opportunities, predominately mkodo’s Geolocation platform ‘GeoLocs’.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 360-degree business development cycle, from the initial outreach to commercial proposals and contract negotiations up until the post of sale and contract signature.
  • To manage and lead all sales opportunities within the business, with support from the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets and market growth.
  • Identify new market opportunities and potential clients within the lottery, casino, and sports betting sectors.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and report to the Commercial Director.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of sales activities and results.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Manage sales budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize return of investment.
  • Set clear sales goals and KPIs, regularly tracking and analysing performance against targets.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Continuously assess and refine sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support account management with the initiation of the project implementation.
  • Thorough research, documenting and reporting re: prospects, industry (domain and technology) and competition.
  • Creation of individual sales propositions for prospects (through detailed research as above plus knowledge of mkodo internal products/services).
  • Performing product demos to prospects.
  • Building out mkodo sales database.
  • Continual outreach and proactive reaching out to the database.
  • Using tools such as LinkedIn to contact prospects on a regular basis.
  • Ownership of all prospect knowledge tools such as Salesforce and input to joint Pollard Banknote Ltd/mkodo customer profile spreadsheet.
  • Reporting to the Commercial Director and supporting them in all sales and new business opportunities.
  • Support mkodo in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of its ISO27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS).
  • Adhere to all relevant mkodo ISO27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, procedures and requirements at all times.
  • Complete any reasonable tasks relating to the mkodo ISO27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS).
