QD Events deliver some of Scotland’s biggest live experiences, including The IRN-BRU Carnival, The Scottish Wedding Show and The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Home Show. Part of the SEC Group, QD Events create events which benefit businesses and consumers want to come to – quite simply, we run some of the best events in Scotland!
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and ambitious Sales Manager who will be responsible for selling exhibition space, driving sponsorship revenue and managing the sales team on the Scottish Wedding Show to existing and potential clients to maximise revenue across all our events. The role will be based from the Glasgow office.
Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing the sale of exhibition space and sponsorships, ensuring that revenue targets are met and exceeded.
REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience in sales, preferably within the events or exhibitions industry.
Strong sales negotiation and closing skills.
Sales team management experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines ensuring revenue targets are achieved.
Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for the Scottish Wedding Show.
Manage the sales team, optimising their direction, motivation and performance
Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with exhibitors and sponsors.
Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to attract new clients.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sales materials and campaigns.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.
Attend relevant networking events.
