Description:

LEAD, COACH AND ACHIEVE

Hanson Construction Materials is seeking a Sales Manager to lead our Sydney sales team. This role involves driving the team’s focus through effective leadership, implementing our local strategy, and enhancing overall sales performance. You will be responsible for coaching and developing your team to meet and exceed their goals and targets.

In your new role, you will:

  • Assist in developing the regional sales strategy under the leadership of the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Take ownership of the order book, pipeline, and forecasting.
  • Develop and leverage existing customer relationships while achieving new business goals.
  • Inspire, motivate, coach, and develop the individual capabilities of your sales team.
  • Be accountable for and lead your team by building a high-performance sales culture.

Responsibilities:

THIS ROLE IS A GREAT FIT FOR YOU IF YOU:

  • Have a well-developed knowledge of the Sydney construction market and heavy construction materials such as asphalt, concrete, or aggregates (preferred).
  • Can demonstrate a proven track record of achievement in a sales leadership role with a multi-million dollar sales target.
  • Bring high levels of energy, resilience, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Possess strong people leadership skills and the ability to identify and capture sales opportunities through customer, market, and industry insights, driving effective team coaching.
  • Have experience in strategic sales management, including high-level selling, advanced sales processes, management cycles, and refined sales techniques.
  • Excel at building strong internal and external relationships to achieve great customer outcomes.
  • Most importantly, understand that as the Sales Manager, you are accountable for your team’s performance. This includes setting sales strategies, providing direction, motivation, and support to your sales team, developing and implementing sales plans, analysing market trends, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
