JOB SUMMARY:

The Bedford Hotel Belfast, a luxurious new hotel managed by Focus Hotels Management, is seeking a dynamic and results driven Sales Manager to join our team. Our hotel, located in the heart of Belfast, offers 83 exquisite bedrooms, a world-class restaurant, a stylish café bar, and exclusive private dining rooms.

The successful candidate will be experienced in city centre hotels and will be adept at creating engaging business partnerships. The Sales Manager will develop and convert leads and enquiries; records all data, via hotel PMS and Salesforce.com to the standards set by Focus Hotels.

  • Meet clients, show and sell the hotel facilities over 7 days, as required by clients and the needs of the sales department. This may include weekends, evenings, late nights, or early mornings.
  • Ensures guest expectations are met or exceeded throughout the sales process.
  • Demonstrates leadership to revenue-generating departments driving a sales culture throughout the business.
  • Assists in the development of the hotel commercial goals and strategies, with alignment to the hotel’s overall commercial strategy plan.
  • Works to predetermined sales key performance indicators.
  • Research competitors’ sales strategies to identify growth opportunity in TRevPAR.
  • Attend business reviews / executive board meetings as appropriate and actively contribute to all local and regional associations and federations, with the potential to travel internationally to promote the hotel

Criteria: The ideal candidate will also have previous experience in hotel openings.

  • Hotel proactive sales management experience, delivering results across multiple segments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and mentoring skills.
  • Knowledge of key market segments and total sales revenues to support the business.
  • Experience working in a senior sales role within a city centre environment.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills and ability to negotiate.
  • Strong organisational skills, effective decision-making skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build strong business cases to gain acceptance to unsolicited programmes.
  • Knowledge of working with market intelligence tools such as Agency 360, Lighthouse and STR
