We are currently hiring for a Sales Manager - Ultra High Purity. This position is responsible for the strategic sales of products within the remit of PFG’s Ultra High Purity Division with particular focus on delivering organic growth in the microelectronics market.
Reporting to the Global Business Development Manager - Ultra High Purity (BDM UHP), the incumbent will specifically be responsible for the growth of defined customer sales and projected new product/market development targets as prescribed by the current agreed budget and to align with the approved market plan for the business. While not responsible for the overall maintenance of our distribution partners, the incumbent will be driven to personally promote Porvair UHP product through that channel in competition with other Porvair product sold into other markets and other products sold by our competitors. The role is to identify new opportunities, establish the prerequisites to service those opportunities and to secure the business. The goal is not to account manage that business once won-but to then pass the account to either the distribution channel manager or appropriate regional customer service team-and to then move on to the next opportunity.
The key performance criteria for the role will be the organic growth of our established business, an increased account base, and the widening of our product offering. Furthermore, the return on our investments, the opportunity to value add, and realization of margin will all be optimized through applied by the SME market intelligence and resistance selling techniques. This will be achieved with the support of our regional sales force but will remain the key objective of the incumbent to drive.
QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING REQUIRED
- 5+ years in a customer facing sales/technical sales role with a track record of converting opportunity to recurring, profitable revenue
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team towards delivering strategic business projects
- Strong financial acumen
- Strong Microsoft office skills with a particular focus on excel data analysis
- Accountable and transparent
- Demonstrable ability to lead and influence high-performing teams
- Excellent communication, presentation, and delivery skills

Responsibilities:
- Execute a 3-year business growth strategy with a solid investment reward analysis that underpins how the UHP division will grow and sustainable and profitable top line. The 3-year business plan will blend new product development, increased sales volumes of existing value streams and changes in operational strategy/technology to cultivate an infrastructure for growth.
- Leverage and develop existing distributor relationships to improve existing value streams.
- Identify new customer opportunities in distribution, OE, and other sales channels.
- Determine opportunity for Microelectronics liquid filter growth and steer the business development accordingly.
- Publish and maintain internal product competition database to ensure PFG remain a ‘very’ fast technology follower.
- Collaborate with PFG marketing to promote PFG’s UHP division and ensure poignant marketing and product literature.
- At the discretion of the BDM-UHP, participate in chosen trade shows to promote our products and support our partners.
- Present business cases for new product development and present cases upwards proficiently as value dictates.
- Participate in the process of new product development to ensure effective and timely introduction of new products. Provide technical support in design and manufacturing principles of UHP products and foster world class product/application and process knowledge.
- Remain acclimatized to market movements and competitor products. Acutely advise the UHP division of strategic changes to keep pace with competitors.
- Own and approve commercial proposals as governed by the businesses trading policy.
- Support operational execution teams with strategy and transformational projects that positively influence customer satisfaction.
- Lead an intense focus on divisional data integrity and health to inform business decision making.
- Guide project personnel and key business stakeholders in the development of key strategic initiatives and provide effective means for reporting upon execution.
