Description:

JD McDougall Ltd is a well-established family run company producing flame retardant textiles and manufactured curtains and drapery to the Theatre, TV and Film Industry for over 100 years. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive Sales and Marketing Administrator to join our company based in Stratford, East London.
As the first line of contact for customers, you will need to have a friendly attitude and helpful approach to provide excellent customer service and promote a positive company image. This is a diverse role, and whilst the primary focus is on handling sales (no cold calling), the position will involve developing and executing marketing campaigns via various channels to strengthen brand image and promote sales.
The ideal candidate will be a team player, enjoy working in a busy office environment and most importantly be enthusiastic and willing to learn about this specialised industry.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)

Sales:

  • Process customer orders using our bespoke IT system and respond to enquiries by phone and email in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional and positive relationships with clients
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of Company products and services to support customers with their orders
  • Manage the entire sales cycle and provide a high level of customer service by providing product knowledge, offering samples, submitting quotations and presenting competitive delivery options (including overseas exports)

Marketing:

  • Create content for social media, website, email campaigns, and other digital marketing channels.
  • Organise and manage a holistic content and marketing calendar to keep track of deadlines
  • Manage and update the company website
  • Analyse monthly marketing performance to track campaign effectiveness

Key skills:

  • Ability to develop personable and professional relationships with a wide range of people internally and outside of the Company
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, demonstrating initiative and common sense
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A flexible approach to duties and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Office 365
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g. social media, email marketing, Canva etc.)
  • Creative thinking with the ability to develop innovative marketing solutions.

This is a full time, permanent office-based role. We have free onsite parking, bicycle racks and we are a short walk from Maryland Station (Elizabeth Line)
Salary: £28,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm (1 hour lunch break)

Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
