Package: Basic salary up to £35,000 (dependent on experience) plus bonus/OTE & flexible benefits package, up to 27 days holiday (Plus additional annual leave purchasing scheme)

The Sales Office Manager Role
This temporary contract role (covering maternity leave) will see you join our local management team, whereby you shall manage and lead the internal sales team at our regional distribution centre, ensuring sales activities are maximised to help the site exceed all sales and profit targets. You will be responsible for setting and monitoring all individual and team targets, full performance management and development to include training and coaching; ensuring that the highest standards of sales support, administration and customer service are always maintained.

Sales Office Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the internal sales team, setting targets & objectives, and completing performance and development assessments, facilitating training as required
  • Overseeing all sales administration processing to ensure completed in a timely and efficient manner, utilising the relevant systems (CRM etc.)
  • Complete relevant reports to required timescales, to monitor sales input, invoicing, and margin – identifying and acting as appropriate
  • Direct handling of customer queries & orders, whilst always maintaining excellent levels of customer service
  • Take an active lead in developing existing accounts, seeking, and capitalising upon opportunities to up-sell across the product portfolio whilst encouraging the team to do the same
  • Work in partnership with external sales executives, attending customer visits where appropriate
  • Liaise with logistics team to ensure 24/48hour delivery schedule is maintained for all customers
  • Develop and maintain a good knowledge of all packaging solutions, imparting this knowledge with other colleagues

Do you have the correct profile?
We welcome your application if you are an experienced internal sales office professional who has experience of managing a small team within a fast-paced environment. You will still enjoy being ‘hands-on’ in dealing directly with the customers but relish the additional responsibility that comes with managing and developing a team. Ideally, you will have enjoyed exposure to conducting and managing others who conduct both inbound and outbound activity and understand what it takes to be effective in both disciplines.
You will be able to bring genuine gravitas and leadership skills to the role, whilst having first class customer service and internal sales skills. As this is an internal office-based role, we would prefer you to reside within a sensible daily commute of our local site.
Given that this is a temporary contract role for 12 months initially, you must also be comfortable that this is not a permanent contract position.
