To succeed in the role of Sales Office Manager, you will need the following qualities and skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Excellent attention to detail

- Understanding of Hotel related laws and regulations including Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH legislation.
EXPERIENCE :
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Wedding, Conference and Events or Sales Management role is required.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in reactive room reservations sales
- An in-depth knowledge of Opera PMS and S&C is essential.
Responsibilities:
POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
To lead the development, implementation, and execution of our sales office function at The Imperial Hotel Blackpool covering groups, room reservations, meetings, events and conferences. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of maximizing all sales and revenue opportunities by yielding the business effectively to achieve budget, experience in managing and developing processes and policies within a medium sized sales office, skills in forecasting, working proactively within a reactive office to maximize business opportunity.
SOME OF THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To manage and coordinate a team of 4 in the reservations, meetings and events and group reservations reactive sales team implementing process and support from enquiry stage through to the handover to the operations team. To ensure that all enquires are responded to in a professionally and timely manner.
- To manage the Sales and Catering function in Opera Cloud, ensuring all events are entered correctly to produce a concise and accurate function sheet for each event.
- To support the team with managing the billing and invoicing process for all bookings including final billing and any adjustments.
- To monitor all enquiries, working closely with the reactive sales team office to ensure the client has received all the information requested and maintain an effective follow up system to secure business within Opera Cloud.
- To ensure all pre-arranged and walk-in show-arounds for all Groups, Conference and Events are conducted and managed in a professional manner.
