Xometry is seeking a Sales Operations Analyst to help shape our sales strategy by providing reporting and valuable insights on sales data and activities. You will directly support sales in identifying trends and recommend solutions or processes to drive sales effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a high level of business acumen and passion for using analytics and data science techniques to solve large-scale business problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in applied math, computer science, natural sciences or engineering preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a technical analyst role (e.g. Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Data Scientist) with a focus on supporting business stakeholders.
- Experience supporting a sales function is a plus.
- Proficiency in SQL and Looker (not Looker Studio) and LookML, SQL and Python (numpy, scipy, pandas, and sklearn preferred).
- Proficient in applied statistics (distribution of random variables, p-values, confidence interval, standard error, power, type I and II errors).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to independently source and assess data for relevance.
- Able to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change.
- Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders with data-driven insights.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Willing to be onsite 3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Use data analysis and visualizations (examples include Looker, Jupyter Notebooks, Python, Pandas) to inform sales strategy and look for opportunities to improve sales productivity for our Marketplace sales team.
- Query and extract data from databases (Snowflake and MongoDB).
- Developing hypotheses and conducting statistical analysis to answer business questions.
- Design, implement and analyze results from experiments (A/B Tests).
- Analyze formulaic algorithms for accuracy, provide recommendations, and update production code.
- Relentlessly iterate solutions within a fast-paced environment where ambiguity is the norm.
- Solve challenging, uncharted problems.
