Kelowna Beer Institute is one of Kelowna’s original craft breweries based in the Cultural District of Kelowna. We are independently owned and operated. We brew in small batch and serve it in it unfiltered from tank-to-tap at it’s freshest state. We have built the Kelowna Beer Institute to share our knowledge and passion for craft beer. And we pride ourselves as being a community hub for anyone in Kelowna to meet up with a friend or make news ones over a craft beer and great food. We are looking for someone to join our team to drive can and keg sales in the Kelowna market.
SKILLS
- Proven experience in account management and sales, preferably in craft beer sales or BC liquor industry.
- Strong business development skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
- Proficiency in using Excel for managing sales processes and invoicing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach to service delivery.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Account Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing retail and on-premise accounts in the Kelowna market
- New Business Development: Proactively seek and secure new accounts in Kelowna, West Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley
- Community Engagement: Build relationships with local businesses, event organizers, and community groups to drive brand awareness and sales into the Beer Institute.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to accounts, ensuring they have the support needed to drive sales
- Sales Planning & Strategy: Develop and execute a structured territory sales plan to maximize results and growth, including forecasting seasonal and new beers
- Payment Processing: collecting and processing payment for all orders and ensuring all accounts are up to date
- Events & Promotions: Represent Kelowna Beer Institute at tastings, festivals and community events
- Collaboration: Work closely with ownership and restaurant manager to align on strategies and messaging and promotions.
DUTIES
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities.
- Conduct outside sales activities, including prospecting, networking, and attending industry events.
- Manage account portfolios to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with the ownership to forecast production to meet customer needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Stay informed about industry developments, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
