POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Sales and Service Trainer, you will provide in-person and virtual training to build the knowledge, skills, and service proficiency of employees in the delivery of cash, member service and retail lending services to all members within StellerVista Credit Union. You will develop and maintain resources to support the efficient delivery of in-person and virtual training. You will also develop and implement a supportive coaching process which builds the capabilities and confidence of employees to deliver an exceptional member experience and to maximized relationship building opportunities across retail, commercial and all business lines of the credit union. In addition, you will be a member of the retail network management team and as required provide supervisory coverage in the StellerVista branches network.
The overall objective of this position is to build the capabilities and confidence of employees in providing quality member service, maximizing revenue generation, and helping members achieve and maintain their financial health.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Completion of a two-year diploma in business administration or operations management acquired through a college or technical school
- Completion of, or enrollment in and active progression towards the ACUIC Designation
- 6 years related member service experience with StellerVista or another financial institution including at least 2 years in a financial services position where retail lending was a job requirement, plus 1 year in a supervisory role OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Solid working knowledge of credit union products and services
- Ability to provide training and coach to others in a supportive manner
- Solid working knowledge of the current banking system
- Success in responding to member enquiries and providing a high level of member service
- Strong technical literacy and interest and ability to use technology to maximize performance and efficiencies
- Advanced oral, listening, and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to train one-on-one or small groups
- Working knowledge of credit union legislation, policies, and procedures as they relate to branch operations
- Working knowledge of risk management, security, and safety as they related to branch operations
- Working knowledge of supervisory skills such as scheduling and work assignment, recruitment, and performance management
- Commitment to continuous learning and wiliness to take courses related to training design and delivery including virtual training and adult learning
- Ability to travel throughout StellerVista retail network (Castlegar, Slocan Valley, Greenwood, Cranbrook, Fernie, Sparwood, and Elkford branches) is required weather / road conditions permitting
ANNUAL SALARY COMMENSURATE TO EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Current annual salary range: $60,716.00 - $75,895.00
