As part of its growth and development, CMA CGM Belgium is looking for a Sales Support Break Bulk to join its Specialized Cargo Sales team, in the Commercial department.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Knowledge of Break Bulk and Out of Gauge sector to support growth of the CMA CGM Break Bulk and Out of Gauge volume;
Experience within a Sales-focused environment within the Shipping Industry, with a focus on both new business development and account management;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally;
Confidence in dealing with different types of customers and stakeholders;
Ability to work independently without direct supervision;
Strong negotiation skills;
Excellent knowledge and track record working in the Breakbulk and Out of Gauge sector;
Confident to meet and build customer relationships;
Flexible and responsive approach to changing priorities.

Responsibilities:

As a Sales Support Break Bulk you grow Break Bulk & OOG and BB volumes exported to worldwide destinations, take ownership of a defined portfolio of customers in this sector, work closely with wider Sales team(s) including Head Office, and take the lead with operational teams to ensure service delivery in line with customer requirements.
The key responsibilities of the Sales Support Break Bulk are divided as such :
Grow CMA CGM export volumes in the BB / OOG sector with focus on a defined list of customers;
To provide tangible benefits (growth of profitable business) to the agency and line through close relationship building with multi levels of customer;
Produce monthly report highlighting progress and challenges in the BB/ OOG market;
Lead and shape freight rate negotiations with HO pricing teams to ensure competitive pricing in line with market expectations;
To implement and take ownership of a Standard Operating Procedure for BB / OOG bookings;
To drive a culture of dynamic equipment management;
Regular quality sales calls per week, with a focus on new business development and retaining existing business;
Organise and develop target account strategy, to identify and pursue new business opportunities;
To maintain a complete knowledge of the services and facilities offered by CMA CGM, ensuring offerings to new and existing customers are attractive relevant and meet their requirements;
Weekly de-brief with Sales manager providing market feedback and direct customer requirements;
Active promotion of CMA CGM E Commerce capabilities;
Put forward rate proposals to Head Office, based on market conditions and insight;
Keep all sales and customer service teams (internal and external) up to date with relevant information.
