Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market? Well… you might just be in the right place!
We’re looking for a Sales Trainer to join our team in NoAm. As Lightspeed’s Sales Trainer, your main focus will be onboarding and continuous training for sales reps. You will determine and respond to training needs with the goal of enhancing the skills and overall performance of sales reps in the NOAM region. By mentoring salespeople, designing individual and team training courses, and preparing educational material, you will play a critical role in helping our salespeople develop their skills and achieve their quotas.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design and implement comprehensive training programs for new hires, covering product knowledge, sales skills, and company processes
  • Conduct regular performance needs analyses to identify skill gaps and training requirements across the sales team
  • Develop and maintain tailored training courses, both live and self-paced, incorporating diverse learning methods such as online tests, role-playing exercises, and job simulations
  • Coordinate and oversee training events, including logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Track training completion rates and record key performance metrics to measure program effectiveness
  • Collaborate closely with sales managers to assess business needs and evaluate post-training performance improvements
  • Promote feedback and a culture of ‘constant improvement’ by actively gathering feedback on training programs from trainees, enablement managers and sales managers
  • Prepare and present monthly reports on new hire onboarding progress and other training initiatives
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret training-related data to provide actionable insights

What you need to bring:

  • Experience facilitation and creation of training material
  • Familiarity with role-playing activities and e-learning platforms
  • Agility and solutions-focused - must be able to adapt to an ever-changing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and motivate people
  • Experience in a sales, sales enablement or sales coach/training position
  • Thorough understanding of sales techniques
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

  • Familiarity with LMS
  • Working on an international team
  • Fluency in English and French
  • Experience in a SaaS environment
  • Experience in working in a Retail environment
  • Experience in developing and running onboarding and training programs
  • Previous experience in sales a plus
  • Experience in using a data-driven approach to measure success

We know that people are more than what’s on their CV. If you’re unsure that you have the right profile for the role… hit the ‘Apply’ button and give it a try!
